Swiss Federal Administration
The liaison office (LO) for major infrastructure projects is an organizational unit within the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) created by the Federal Council in November 2019. SECO is the Swiss Confederation’s center of excellence for key economic policy issues. Its aim is to ensure sustainable economic growth, a high level of employment and fair working conditions. The liaison office acts as a catalyst for increased cooperation between the various federal actors, the export promotion instruments/organizations financed by the federal government, and the private sector.
Various federal administrative units (FOEN, SFOE, FDFA, SIF) actively support the liaison office in implementing this initiative and contribute valuable expertise and core competencies.
The Swiss representations of the FDFA ensure relevant networks are established abroad and contact with foreign authorities and governments is maintained. The embassies also hold high-ranking business delegations and offer Swiss companies consular protection.
Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE)
Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) is the official Swiss export organization and location promotion with branches throughout Switzerland and in 31 countries with about 200 employees. It supports Swiss SMEs in their international business and helps innovative foreign companies establish themselves in Switzerland. In doing so, S-GE builds on a unique network of national and global partners , creating added value for its customers and prosperity for Switzerland. As a non-profit organization, S-GE provides a public service for its customers on behalf of the federal government (State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO) and the cantons. Its 27 branch offices, the Swiss Business Hubs and Trade Points, are operated in 31 countries together with the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). Thanks to its global partner network, S-GE can also support its customers in many other countries.
Swissrail Industry Association
Swissrail is the association of the Swiss railway industry. It unites around 120 members. They produce vehicles and components, build rail infrastructure and provide services for all forms of rail-based transport. In addition to the largest sector, rail, this transport industry also includes buses and cable cars. The association represents the interests of its members vis-à-vis politicians, authorities, operators and the general public, and promotes the image and market opportunities of the industry in Switzerland and abroad. Swissrail is the contact point of the Swiss railway industry and railway engineering companies for organizations, institutions and authorities. The association mediates the positions of industrial companies and offers support in finding the right contacts within such companies.
Swissmem
Swissmem is the leading association for SMEs and large companies in the Swiss tech industry. Swissmem is proud to be able to provide competent advice to its member companies in all language regions of Switzerland. The association offers its approximately 1,300 member companies comprehensive networks, supports them with digitalization and fights for good framework conditions at the political level. Its focus is on global access to export markets, effective innovation promotion and consulting services in the area of labor and commercial law. To ensure that dedicated professionals are trained at all levels in this industry, Swissmem invests heavily in future-proof vocational training for young people and in continuing education.

The Swiss Association of Consulting Engineers is the mouthpiece of the Swiss engineering and planning industry. More than 1,000 member companies with over 14,000 employees from the fields of building services, civil, electrical and environmental engineering, geomatics, geology and geotechnics as well as spatial and landscape planning are affiliated with the association. They generate an annual gross revenue of around CHF 2.6 billion, contributing around half of the total expenditure in the engineering-related construction sector in Switzerland.
suisse.ing contributes to the recognition, promotion and appreciation of the social importance of the engineering professions. It actively campaigns for the improvement of the framework conditions in its industries. As an association, it safeguards the interests of employers in the area of conflict between business, politics, society and the environment.
SERV
Swiss Export Risk Insurance (SERV) covers political risks and del credere risk in relation to the export of goods and services. SERV’s insurance policies and guarantees offer Swiss export companies protection against non-payment and facilitate export financing. SERV’s solutions also make it easier for companies to obtain favorable loans and a higher credit limit, and therefore help them to maintain their liquidity when exporting.
